Our Wedding

We met in sixth grade, just kids in a classroom, completely unaware that we were meeting the person we would one day marry. By eighth grade, friendship turned into something more, and what began as middle school love quietly became our forever.For nearly twelve years, our love has been a constant, but it has never stood still. It has grown up with us. While people often brush off young couples who talk about getting married "one day," we always knew there was something different about us. What started as sweet and simple at fourteen only deepened as we got older.We have truly grown up side by side. Through every high, every low, and everything in between, we have chosen each other again and again. Relationships take work and patience, and ours is no exception. It has not always been easy, but every time we have faced something hard, we have come out stronger and even more certain of the life we are building together.Along the way, we have taught each other so much, not just about the world, but about ourselves. We have helped each other discover strengths we did not know we had, softened edges we did not realize were sharp, and uncovered parts of ourselves that may have stayed hidden without the other’s love and honesty. We have even shown each other parts of who we are that we did not recognize on our own.He has always been the sweet golden retriever to my passionate black cat; steady, warm, and endlessly patient with my loud and often opposite hard to please spirit. Where I bring fire, he brings calm. But my black cat has helped him too. I protect him fiercely and stand by him without hesitation. I push him to chase his dreams, to believe in himself fully, and to go after the life he deserves. Together, we balance each other in a way that feels natural and certain, each of us making the other stronger.We could not have imagined our story turning out any differently. What started in a middle school classroom has become the greatest adventure of our lives, and we cannot wait to keep choosing each other for all the years to come.
